Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookie Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 cups quaker oats (quick uncooked)
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 cup butter flavored Crisco
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions:
1. First of all, in a mixing bowl, add in the peanut butter, butter and brown sugar. Combine and beat well until creamy.
2. Add in the egg, water and vanilla. Continue beating.
3. In a another bowl, add in the flour, uncooked quaker oats, baking soda and granulated sugar. Combine and mix well.
4. Add the flour mixture into the peanut butter mixture. Combine and blend well.
5. Cover and let it chill for 2 hours.
6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C).
7. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on ungreased cookie sheet. Dip the fork in granulated sugar and flatten the balls to form a criss-cross pattern.
8. Bake for 11 minutes then let them cool for 1 minute on cookie sheet.
9. Remove to wire rack and let them cool down completely.
10. Serve and enjoy or store in a tightly covered container.
